Who we are
Royle Tech, LLC, operating as Wood Labs, operates Wood with Friends, a US-only service for adults age 18 and older. In this policy, “Wood Labs,” “we,” and “us” refer to Royle Tech, LLC, and “Service” refers to Wood with Friends.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide or generate through the Service:
- Account information, including your phone number, first and last name, birthday, username, time zone, and consent records.
- Daily reports answering whether you woke up with morning wood, including your answer, selected audience, timestamps, and edits.
- Social activity, including friend requests, friendships, likes, badges, referral links, and referral progress.
- Technical and operational information, such as authentication events, reminder delivery status, basic logs, and device or browser information supplied with web requests.
Your reports concern intimate wellbeing and may be sensitive. The Service is a habit tracker and social product, not a medical record system or healthcare service.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Authenticate you and operate your account.
- Deliver reports, friend feeds, profiles, analytics, badges, and referrals according to your choices.
- Send the daily SMS reminders you consented to receive and record delivery or opt-out events.
- Secure, debug, maintain, and improve the Service; prevent fraud and misuse; and comply with law.
Who can see reports
Every report is marked “Friends” or “Public.” Friends reports are visible to accepted friends. Public reports may be visible to any signed-in Wood with Friends member. Royle Tech, LLC personnel and service providers may access information when reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, or comply with legal obligations for the Service.
Service providers and disclosures
We use service providers to run the Service, including Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure, Vercel for application hosting, and Twilio for phone authentication and SMS delivery. They process information on our behalf under their own contractual and security obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, during a corporate transaction, or with your direction.
Retention and deletion
We retain account information while your account is active and as needed to operate the Service. You can download your account data or permanently delete your account from Settings. Deletion removes your active account and associated application records, though limited information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups, security logs, or records we must retain by law. Those records are isolated from ordinary product use and expire under our retention practices.
Your choices
You can choose a report audience, edit a report during its one-hour window, manage friends, download your data, or delete your account. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS reminders and START to opt back in. You may also contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, or other privacy rights available where you live.
Security, age, and location
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no system is completely secure. The Service is only for people in the United States who are at least 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors; contact us if you believe a minor has created an account.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will post the effective date with the revised version. Material changes may also be communicated in the Service. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to team@woodlabs.co.
